ドラゴンズ日本一の瞬間に感じたカタルシス
1974年、板東英二の「燃えよドラゴンズ！」がリリースされ、巨人のV10を阻んで20年ぶりのリーグ優勝を果たした年、まだ小学生だった自分には「20年ぶり」という言葉の重みが全くピンとこなかった。
あれから33年。
金田ロッテに敗れて日本一を逃したその年の悔しい思いを片時も忘れず待ち続けた33年間。
今はその年月の重みを心地よい余韻の中で、全身に感じています。
ゲームセットがコールされた時、いったい自分は何を思うんだろう、と考えながら、結局よくわからないまま迎えたゲームセットの瞬間。
自然に頭の中を駆け巡ってきたのは、74年、82年、88年、99年、04年、06年、全身全霊を込めて応援してきた6度の日本シリーズのさまざまなシーンでした。
こういうのを走馬灯って言うのかな、と思いながら、次の瞬間身体の中からすーっと何かが抜けていった気がします。
ある種のトラウマに似た呪縛からようやく解き放たれた感覚。
これまでの人生ではじめて味わった、言いようのない解放感でした。
33年間、日本シリーズのリベンジを誓い、嬉しい時も悔しい時も、いつも気持ちをひとつにして応援し続けてきた全てのドラゴンズファンに、乾杯。
